Love Persevering

"Well, because it can't all be sorrow, can it? I've always been alone, so I don't feel the lack. It's all I've ever known, I've never experienced loss because I have never had a loved one to lose. But what is grief, if not love persevering? "- Vision in WandaVision Ep.8 “Previously On”

If you're like me, WandaVision has captured my attention on most Fridays. The quote above is from a scene in episode eight and left with a tug on my heart, causing me to think deeply about the connection between love and grief.

Grief profound, and sometimes it stings and burns, but grief never resonated in this way related to love. You grieve for loved ones lost. You weep for memories never shared. You grieve because the person now only lives on because of your memory of them.

You may not realize how much something matters to us until they leave us. You can ease the grief for those who matter most to you by not leaving so much unsaid.

Maybe you can take grief and change the context of why we feel that grief.

You are experiencing life with another being in a way no one ever has or ever will. Honor the experience, no matter what type of relationship you may have had. Love is the unique mixture of two beings interacting with each other.

Life will always contain loss. Grief is a catalyst to pick yourself up and carry on for the sake of those who have lost.

Maybe what makes the scene so emotional is that it is a flashback. You know Vision has gone like Wanda. Vision is letting everyone know to find the strength to persevere through our grief. You have to be strong enough to carry on with them in mind.

You have to find ways to persevere for those you have lost.
