Mike Hagensick on Empowering Others
My guest today is Mike Hagensick returning to the podcast. Mike is the co-founder of the E3 collective the vision of the collective was sparked while Mike was a special education teacher, working with children with complex needs. He worked with many great teachers, paraeducators, physical therapists, and occupational therapists through close collaboration and a shared vision of opportunity during this time.
Students were able to access unique experiences and opportunities, leading to improved quality of life as Mike transitioned into his new role. He started the Panther Academy for water safety to promote evidence-based learning to swim and water safety instruction to individuals with diverse abilities by integrating high-level teaching and community. PAWS strives to deliver excellent programs for children regardless of their individual needs.
In this conversation, we unpacked Mike's 2020, what he evolved from, and how he helped improve not only the lives of those he taught but those who worked closely with.
I thought through this entire conversation; Mike really captured the essence of what it meant to be a leader. And it's not about being the smartest person in the room. It's not about always having the answers, but. Instead, what it is about is how you interact with those around you to feel confident to succeed or provide value in the work that they do.
This conversation really laid the groundwork for how we can. Improve everyone's quality of life, not just those we want to serve, but those who will serve with us. If you can extend that idea of service further beyond to other people, the better off we are for it is that without everyone, I hope you enjoy this conversation with Mike Hagensick.
