Worth Listening

Jason Hehir, Director of The Last Dance | Whoop Podcast

If you enjoyed the Last Dance as much as I did, you wouldn't want to pass up this podcast. If you are a would-be interviewer or journalist, I felt like this conversation was a masterclass in what takes to mine for gold with high stakes. There is much to be said about the documentary of the Last Dance. I even had a podcast with a few friends, which was a ton of fun. I always enjoy pulling back the curtain and looking at the ingredients of what makes something great

Guy Raz — Traits of Successful Entrepreneurs, The Story of 'How I Built This,' Overcoming Anxiety and Depression, and More (#462) | The Tim Ferriss Show

Keeping with required listening for a would-be interviewer with a juggernaut in the field of podcasts, Guy Raz. The TED Radio Hour was of the first podcasts I began listening too well before I ever thought I'd try to do it myself. All in all, I enjoyed this podcasts and its message that each of us can be entrepreneurs its a learned skill, not something you are born with. I never thought I'd be an entrepreneur, but by listening to others' stories, I began to see how I could be. If you want more of those stories, check out How I Built This with Guy Raz! I know this podcast recommendation has multiplied, but hey, that's why you're here, right? Enjoy!

Humanity and nature are not separate – we must see them as one to fix the climate crisis | The Conversation

"In the Anthropocene, we are seeing more and more how the fates of humanity and nature are intertwined. Governments and corporations have developed such control over the natural systems they exploit that they are destabilising the fundamental chemistry of the global climate system. As a result, inhospitable heat, rising seas, and increasingly frequent and extreme weather events will render millions of humans and animals refugees."

These Zen Buddhist Koans Will Open Your Mind | Huffpost

I recently started exploring The Koan Way meditations on the Waking Up App. I've been finding them very freeing. They allow me to contemplate often mundane and paradoxical aspects of our lives. If you use the app, one I enjoyed recently was the Whole Earth is Medicine. Henry Shukman also narrates this section. The above article is my introduction for each of you to Koans that's not behind a paywall. Please enjoy, and I'd love to hear from you if you have exposure or recommendations.

Worth Watching

High Score | Netflix (Trailer)

I've been slowly absorbing this limited docuseries. The series features the stories, interviews with the developers and creators of the video game industry. In many ways, I see video games as part of the innovation cycle that has propelled the personal computer to such mainstream heights. To see the power that one workstation compared to technology, only about 50 years ago, is incredible and fascinating.

Worth Pondering

"One way to embrace the unexpected is to be on the lookout for, and respect, coincidence. I do not necessarily believe in fate, but, for me, coincidental occurrence strengthens my belief that I'm on the right path." - Kevin Carroll
