Read MoreOver the last few years, I've become invested in the research of mental health conditions. One area I had not expected to play a roll was psychedelics to aid as a new tool to help people when other methods prove ineffective. I have people close to me that have forms of treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. I know the struggles are genuine. With MDMA on the edge of FDA approval, this could be a big step towards helping people get access to and provide lasting benefits to leading the life they want to live.
Read MoreAs with last weeks' Feeding Frenzy being dedicated to understanding the murder of George Floyd. I continue to do what I always do. I read, I listen, and I research. I see the protests as a reaction to long-standing trauma left by the legacy slavery on the United States. I am not here to offer a solution, but instead, I hope to shed light on what has helped me understand the complex story.
For me, I've always believed in nuance, that's why I enjoy long-form podcasts. You can learn more about someone's hopes, dreams, and struggles. In short, in nuanced conversation, you can humanize anyone. No matter how much I may never be able understand a different experience than mine, I can understand their story because deep down it's not much different than mine.
Black Lives Matter.
