You have to stop waiting for that person to pick you up and tell you’re special. you need to do it yourself and believe that you’re special and get the thing done.

Even though Jessica's passion and her background are in film and writing, we don't spend too much time unpacking that aspect of Jessica's interest. Instead, we spend most of our time discussing how Jessica organizes her life to perform and dive into what she does with so much passion.

This conversation was incredibly energizing for me to talk about anything from cancel culture, beliefs, and stepping out of her comfort zone and getting past mental roadblocks, we also touch on the subject of the idea of immigrant children, because as I mentioned is that Jessica is an Egyptian American. She talks about a little about her background with her family from this country as she is a first-generation American.

Last but not least, we spend some time covering the current situation in China with the Uyghur Muslims and how that situation in China is evolving and developing. I'm going to include links in this podcast's description so listeners can find more information on that particular situation. Please enjoy this incredibly wide-ranging conversation with Jessica Matat and expect around two at some point in the future. Thank you all for listening.
